The purpose of this Master Class to was to try and explain
oThe importance of using information that is as ACCURATE as possible in the calculation of where a casualty might be at any given time. This includes
▪Where and when the casualty was last known to be - with as much detail as is possible on what the casualty is and what condition it might be in
▪What forces are affecting the casualty -
•Forecast wind and current conditions
•Results of a "Test Drift"
oHow to guage what CONFIDENCE we could have in the information we are using in the calculations
oHow we use this information to create what we call "Random Particles" so that we can assist a Search Planner decide on where to search and how to search using PROBABILITY
oHow to understand and interpret the output that comes from SearchWell
