Read previously downloaded Forecasts

•A : Forecast File - click on this button to select the forecast information you need to read from

•B : Position and Time - once you have selected the forecast file you can give the details that you are looking for

Select the Forecast File

•A : Open the "SearchWell Output Files" folder 

•B : Select and open the sub-folder that contains the required downloaded forecasts

oThe date at the start of the folder name is the date the forecast was downloaded

oThe folder must contain the words "Condition Forecasts"

•A : the name of the folder that was opened

•B : You can see that there are Current Forecast files and Wind Forecast files.  You can select either the Current or the Wind (SearchWell will open both).  What is important is in the file name -

othe first 5 digits are the time that the forecast was downloaded - in the example the file was downloaded on 2025-10-05 (taken from the folder name) at 07h50 (taken from the file name)

othe date is the date of the forecast itself (not the date it was downloaded) - in the example the forecast in the selected file is for the conditions on 2024-10-05

othe next 5 digits give the times of the forecast - in the example the forecasts for 03h00 until 06h00 were downloaded (ie 4 hours worth of forecasts)

othe words "Wind Forecast" tell us that the wind conditions are stored in the file - but as I say, you can select the Wind or the Current file and SearchWell will open both

Specify the details of which forecast is required

•A : The forecast file

•B : The date of the required forecast

•C : The time in hours (24 hour clock) of the required forecast

•D : The coordinates of the position the forecast is required for

•E : Get Forecast button - when you click on this button SearchWell will verify the information you have entered and then it will read and display the forecast details

•F : Wind Forecast information

•G : Current Forecast information

•H : A graphic display of the direction the conditions will push an object along
