Stations Table

This table contains all the information of the various stations in the organisation

•A : select the station you require by clicking on the small down arrow at the right of the box, finding the station and then clicking on it

•B : This section gives the information SearchWell stored about each station, but at this stage none of the information can be changed 

oStation Number - this must be unique and can be alpha-numeric

oStation Name

oMagnetic Variation - this should be updated from time to time

oLaunch Coordinates

•C : Edit button - this will allow you to edit the current station's information

•D : New button - this will allow you to add a new station to the system

•E : Delete button - this will allow you to delete the current station from the system

•F : Default Station button - this will make the current station the default station for the system.  When you click on this button it will make the station that is visible the default station for the system

•G : Clear button - this will clear the information from the form

Edit an existing station's information

This is done by selecting the required station and when the information for the station is visible on the form as illustrated in the screen grab above, click on the Edit button

•A : You can change any of the information except the Station Number

•B : Once you have made the required change(s) click on the Save button and, if the information passes our validation, the changes will be made to the information

Input a new station

When you click on the "New" button

•A : you need to enter all the information on the form,  including the Station Number (which must be unique but can be alpha-numeric so that satellite stations can be 16S for example)

•B : when you have entered all the information click on the "Save" button and if it passes our validation the information will be saved to the system

Delete a station from the system

To delete an existing station, select it so that it's information is displayed on the screen, and then click on the "Delete" button

•A : Click on the "Delete" button

•B : the system asks if you are sure you want to delete the information as it cannot be recovered

oYES - the information will be deleted

oNO - the information will not be deleted
