Conversions

There are two main conversion types

Coordinate conversions

•A : select the "Coordinates" option

•B : type in the coordinates that you require converted.  They can be in any format (see "Coordinates" in the Important Information section). Press ENTER

•C : the converted coordinates will display in the three coordinate formats

•D : CLEAR button will clear all the information on the form

•E : USER GUIDE button will take you to the User Manual on the internet and open it on the Conversions page

Unit Conversions

•A : select the "Units" option

•B : Distance conversions - type a number into any of the green boxes and press ENTER.  The converted units will appear in the orange boxes.

•C : Time - you can only do one time conversion at a time ..... in this example we typed in Decimal Hours, the pressed ENTER.  The Decimal Hours output box was hidden and the time conversions shown in the orange boxes.

•D : Bearings - 

oMagnetic Variation is taken from the default Station (in this case Kommetjie), but the value may be modified

oType in a value in the True or the Magnetic green box and press ENTER and the answer will display in the orange box

•E : CLEAR button will clear all the information on the form

•F : USER MANUAL button will take you to the Conversions page in the user manual that is stored on the internet
