Distance to Horizon

•A : The height above sea level in meters

•B : Alternatively, the height above sea level can be given in feet

•C : Click on the CALCULATE button

•D : The output is the approximate distance to horizon in nautical miles

•E : CLEAR button which clears all the input and output information from the form

•F : HELP button which will display help in a window on the form

This is only used to give an idea of distance of a casualty ..... it is hard to apply due to the curvature of the earth
